Webster Tbilisi Celebrates First Commencement Ceremony

Webster University Tbilisi graduates and University representatives celebrate the first Commencement Ceremony.

Webster University Tbilisi celebrated its first Commencement Ceremony, honoring the achievements of the Class of 2026.

The ceremony marked the first graduating class to cross the stage in Georgia and join Webster University’s global alumni network of more than 200,000 alumni worldwide.

The Class of 2026 included undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds, representing the University’s commitment to preparing future leaders with global perspectives, practical skills and the ability to succeed in an interconnected world.

The celebration brought together graduates, families, faculty, staff, distinguished guests and members of the academic and professional community. For graduates, the occasion represented both the completion of their academic journey and the beginning of new professional opportunities.

During the ceremony, Emin Hajiyev, PhD, Vice Rector of Webster University Tbilisi, highlighted the importance of this milestone and recognized the first graduating class as a foundation for the University’s continued growth and success in Georgia.

In his address to graduates, Ryan Guffey, PhD, emphasized that commencement represents not only the completion of an academic experience, but also the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, leadership and responsibility. He encouraged graduates to continue carrying Webster’s values of excellence, global citizenship and positive impact into their future careers and communities.
